myrTissue-Cardio

Human Engineered Heart Muscle (EHM)

myrTissue Cardio is engineered myocardium constructed from human iPSC derived cardiomyocytes and fibroblasts.

The major difference between myrTissue Cardio and other approaches is the morphological maturity of myrTissue.

The tissues show important structural and functional properties of postnatal myocardium, including: specifically aligned sarcomeres, increasingly physiologically relevant resting membrane potentials and synchronized, rhythmic contractions. This functional and structural integrity is maintained for weeks.

human Engineered Skeletal Muscle

myrTissue-Skeletal is engineered skeletal muscle of hypaxial origin constructed from human iPSC derived myoblasts.

Tissue engineered muscle exhibits organotypic maturation and function, advanced by thyroid hormone. Regenerative competence can be shown in a cardiotoxin injury model with evidence of satellite cell activation as underlying mechanism. myrTissue-Skeletal is a hypaxial muscle model with canonical properties of bona fide skeletal muscle in vivo to study muscle development, maturation, disease, and repair.

human Bio-engineered Neuronal Organoid (BENO)

myriamed BENOs are highly interconnected neuronal networks in a macroscale tissue format.

They comprise interconnected excitatory and inhibitory neurons with supportive astrocytes and oligodendrocytes.

Giant depolarizing potential (GDP)-like events observed in early BENO cultures mimic early network activity of the fetal brain. A GABA polarity switch and reduced GDPs in >40-day BENO indicate progressive neuronal network maturation. BENOs demonstrate expedited complex network burst development after two months and evidence for long-term potentiation.)
